1. Who We Are

Reschooled ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Ponta Futurum. We run the website at reschooled.life and delivers the Reschooled course platform. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

2. What Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

• Account information: your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Payment information: card details are processed directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers. For Bitcoin payments, processed by Zaprite, we receive only the payment confirmation and the email address you give us.
• Email sign-ups: if you join our mailing list or register interest in a course, your name and email address.
• Usage data: which chapters you have watched, your progress through the course, and when you last logged in. This is used solely to deliver the course experience.
• Technical data: your IP address, browser type, and device type, collected automatically when you visit the site. Used for security and to keep the site running.
• Analytics data (only if you agree): if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use our public pages, such as which pages you visit, how you arrived (for example from a search or a social media post), and whether you click through to buy. This is reported to us in aggregate. If you decline, none of this is collected.
• Communications: if you email us, we retain that correspondence to help resolve your query.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes only:

• To create and manage your account and deliver course access.
• To process your payment and send you a purchase confirmation.
• To send you course-related updates, including when new courses or updates are available. You can unsubscribe from these at any time.
• To respond to your support queries.
• To understand which lessons, articles and posts are useful, so we can make better ones, using analytics data where you have agreed to it.

We do not use your information for advertising, ad personalisation, or any purpose beyond running and improving Reschooled.

Legal basis for using your information

• To deliver what you bought (account, course access, payment, purchase emails): necessary to perform our contract with you. Without your email address we cannot create your account or give you access to the course.
• Mailing list and course updates: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.
• Analytics cookies: your consent, given through the cookie banner, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Security and keeping the site running (technical data): our legitimate interest in protecting the site and our users.
• Payment and tax records: our legal obligations.

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, and we do not profile you.

4. Who We Share Your Information With

We share your information only with the following third-party service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the platform:

• Stripe: for card payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
• Zaprite: for Bitcoin payment processing.
• Supabase: for account login and course access.
• Resend: for account emails (such as login details and password resets) and our mailing list.
• Make: to connect payment confirmations to account creation and email delivery.
• Netlify: for website hosting and delivery.
• Cloudflare: for domain, security and site delivery.
• SproutVideo: for video hosting and delivery.
• Google Analytics: for website analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing, advertising, or commercial purposes.

International transfers: some of these providers (including Google, Stripe and Cloudflare) are based in, or process data in, the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Cookies

Essential: we store a small amount of information in your browser to keep you logged in to your course and to remember your cookie choice. These are needed for the site to work and do not track you.

Analytics (optional): with your permission, we use Google Analytics cookies on our public pages to measure visits and which content is useful. We have switched off Google's advertising features and ad personalisation. Analytics is never used on your course dashboard or login page. If you click "Reject", no analytics cookies are set.

• _ga (Google Analytics): distinguishes visitors. Expires after 2 years.
• _ga_LD8M4VM3Q5 (Google Analytics): keeps track of a visit. Expires after 2 years.

We remember your choice for 12 months and then ask again. You can change it at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, or here: change cookie settings.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (for example, payment records, which we retain for seven years as required by law). Analytics data is kept by Google Analytics for up to 14 months.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
• The right to correct inaccurate data.
• The right to request deletion of your data.
• The right to restrict or object to how we use your data.
• The right to receive your data in a portable format.
• The right to withdraw consent for marketing communications or analytics cookies at any time, without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it.
• If you are in the EU or UK, the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including SSL encryption and secure password storage. Payment card data is never transmitted to or stored on our servers — it goes directly to Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure. No security system is impenetrable, but we take reasonable and proportionate steps to protect your data.

9. Children

Reschooled is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, where changes are material, notify you by email. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
